We offer the latest in breast imaging technology including digital mammography, computer aided detection, and dedicated breast ultrasound with elastography.
We perform minimally-invasive breast biopsy when an abnormality is detected and tissue diagnosis is required.
Every one of our exams is interpreted by Dr. Melanie Scott who is fellowship-trained in breast imaging and has dedicated her career solely to breast imaging and diagnosis. We are the only facility in the Tennessee Valley in which all interpretations are provided by a fellowship-trained sub-specialized breast radiologist.
Dr. Scott meets individually with each diagnostic patient (patients who have a breast problem such as lump, pain, nipple discharge, etc.) to discuss the imaging findings and outline a plan for follow-up if necessary. If biopsy is required, it can often be performed the same day.
We are accredited by the American College of Radiology.
Our office is designed with patient comfort in mind. Its spa-like atmosphere is relaxing and private.
Our technologists are specialized in mammography and have over 20 years of experience. They understand that each woman is unique and can work with each patient to attain the best mammogram possible.
Breast ultrasound can be a challenging modality for breast imaging technologists. Dr. Scott performs all breast ultrasound herself to ensure that imaging findings can be easily correlated with physical exam findings and mammographic findings.
We offer same day scheduling for screening mammograms and most diagnostic mammograms.
We are accepting new patients for both screening and diagnostic exams. If you have had mammograms at another facility, we are happy to request those exams for comparison so that your mammogram can be interpreted most accurately.
As a patient, you can request from your doctor where you would like to receive your breast imaging care. We are happy to work with your doctor’s office to make sure reports of your studies are communicated quickly. We are happy to send reports to multiple physicians at your request.
We accept most insurance plans. If you do not have health insurance, we offer a 6 month payment plan through Care Credit.
